l 1. 被征服的城市的城墻都已毀壞，一擊即倒，所以沒有反叛的機會。

l 2. 惡劣天氣缺失減少了食物的供應，但是農民有advanced irrigation technology，可以把水從很遠的地方引入，另外他們儲糧，所以不會造成饑荒。

l 3. 帝國一直在尋找新的貿易伙伴。即使和一些國家有摩擦，導致的損失可以由新貿易帶來的資源和利益彌補。

The gap year fills the real gap between the college and high school life. Confined to competing for better universities, high school students devote themselves to academic study only. On the contrary, besides academic courses, university students need to attend to many social activities and real-life problems, such as career networking events and recruiting new members for a student club. Without adequate social skills and problem-solving capability, one would not be able to mingle with people and establish a personal rapport or create effective strategies to attract other to join the club. But if students have the opportunity to travel or work before they enter the college, they will be able to hone social skills when they interact with other travelers or dealing with interpersonal relations at the workplace, to strengthen problem-solving capability through attending to ten tables at a restaurant or designing an itinerary which suits both personal interests and the budget.
